Temazcal - Burlington: Experience Authentic Mexican Cuisine with a Twist

Good location with ample parking and right where all the restaurants are in Burlington. The food was good , really loved the Nachos. My drink was a bit higher with agave , so little on the sweeter side than what I prefer. The service was a bit delayed. They brought our appetizers and then brought chips and salsa only before our main order. Not a bad option if you are in the area and prefers Mexican.

The food and service was great! The chicken fajitas had good flavor and you get a very decent portion size. The grilled vegetable tacos are perfect for anyone, not just people who don't eat/like meat.

The food and drinks are really good here. The service is acceptable, however when I sat at the bar by myself waiting for my party, (the bar and restaurant were almost empty btw) nobody ever came up to me and asked if I wanted a drink. It wasn’t until a few people in my party joined me, and then we moved closer to where the bartender was, did they ever acknowledge us. He asked what we wanted, entered it on the terminal, and then simply never even made it! The manager actually ended up making it for us. That being said the manager did a fantastic job making the cocktails and I really enjoyed it. When our whole party got there we finally went upstairs. We were served additional drinks and then left alone for about 20 mins or so before they came back for our order. Mind you the place was not busy at all for a Tuesday. Now here’s the part I want to mostly call attention to. There were 8 of us in the group. They brought out 7 meals, and 1 person had to wait an additional 5 mins for their food. When we started eating, a few bite in I noticed a hair in my food, and then the person next to me also had hair in their food. Mind you both of us are bald! So it definitely was not ours. In any case the manager came over, apologized and made it right, so no complaints there. They were apologetic and offered to remake everything. I said I’d eat the parts that didn’t have hair and to simply bring out the dish that had hair with a replacement. They did this and it was extremely fresh and a new batch even. All good. While it’s always shocking to find hair in food, I understand it happens. Overall the food was great and the drinks were great as well. The service however could be improved. But overall it was ok and I’m glad the manager made it right.

Been here a bunch of times and really like that they offer off the beaten path Mexican food esp multiple vegitarian options.. their chips and salsa are amazing.. the flights are something you should definitely try and the Mitchelada is really good.. some of the cocktails are overly sweet; I'm looking at you Besos! But overall a great place with plenty of seating and great food.

What a great authentic mexican food , absolutely stunning food, I went with my wife yesterday for a dinner and everything was perfect , the waitress ( she’s amazing, super kind but I can’t remember her name I’m sorry ) took us for a second floor for more privacy, atmosphere is incredible , the walls are custom made with Mexican style and furniture, she brought us the famous Mexican chips and 3 types of amazing homemade sauce , food is absolutely incredible tasty, actually everything that we ordered was that kind a food that when you put on your mouth you look over and ask what is it ? Sooooooo good , you guys are the best , I can’t recommend this place enough, we’ll be back very soon

Food tastes great but it was so cold inside in a rainy day, such that the girl at the reception wore hoody in Summer. Other than that everything was great and delicious. I totally recommend this restaurant and will be back.

If you are in the mood for Mexican, then put Temazcal on your list! The environment is fun, the guacamole is made fresh, and the menu has a wide variety. A note about the guacamole, it’s spicy, really spicy. And no one tells you that in advance. When we returned the dish, that we had waited for very patiently, we were told “yeah, we hear a lot. People don’t realize how spicy it will be.” (Note: maybe giving diners a heads up on this is some thing that should go into the basic server handbook.) The beet salad was excellent. The sauces that came with the chips were really interesting. And they accommodated our request for a combo grilled chicken and shrimp fajita dish. It was large and delicious. We sat at the bar, and our service was pretty haphazard- the only reason why I took off a star. But, definitely worth the drive and next time I’m looking forward to table service.

Where can you find the most amazing black bean dip / salsa ? - Temazcal hands down !! Is it the most authentic Mexican restaurant? Not really- none the less food is decent I would rate it more like a Tex-Mex or American version of Mexican food. How about service - excellent- muy bueno Our server was super attentive and very friendly. And ambience- warm inviting- would rate it excellent! Overall great experience- if in Burlington and you are craving for Mexican food this is a good place to try.
